Green My Lunchbox Campaign

Kids Konserve is happy to be promoting "The Green My Lunch Box Campaign". The campaign’s goal is to: "Eliminate 1,000,000 pounds of of waste by being one of 15,000 families to pledge to pack a waste-free lunch!"

Kids Konserve Eco Wish Winners!

In January we asked ourselves and you, "If I could change or wish one thing for the greater environmental good in 2010 what would it be?". We had many amazing responses, so many that we increased the winners from 5 to 6. They will each receive a Kids Konserve 20oz Stainless Steel Bottle and a copy of of the book, "Bag Green Guilt".

And the winners are ...

1. I wish for the return of people that can fix appliances and tech items like computers, TV's, microwaves, etc. so we can stop throwing them out just to buy new ones. It is extremely hard to find anyone with the knowledge and skills to fix even a toaster now, and it contributes to our whole "throw it away and buy more" mentality. ~ Leigh
   
   
2. I wish all the trees would stay safe so my butterflies will have a safe place to land. ~ Alexa C.
   
   
3. My wish is that fast food restaurants would produce recyclable containers and put recycle bins in their restaurants for those materials. ~ Charlotte
   
   
4. I wish everyone would plant just a small vegetable garden so kids would have more of an appreciation for farmers and the work that goes into raising food. ~ Jennifer W.
   
   
5. I wish that my school cafeteria would stop using foods that are packaged in non-recyclable materials and that they would not use styrofoam trays or plastic utensils. ~ Jessica F.
